No-till Seed Drill

Whatcom Conservation District offers low-cost rental of a Woods CSS48 no-till seed drill with a 4-foot seeding width for residents of Whatcom County.
The drill is transported on a flatbed trailer; the combined weight of the drill and trailer is approximately 1,500 pounds.

Once on the farm, this ground-driven drill can be operated with a tractor (three-point hitch), truck, or quad. It is commonly used to over-seed existing pastures, seed pasture into prepared ground, and seed alleyways between perennial crops.

Reservations

To reserve the seed drill, please check the online equipment rental calendar for available dates and then complete the Equipment Reservation Form.

Pick Up & Returns

Schedule your pick-up on a Monday or Thursday, selecting a 30-minute appointment window between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

Schedule your return for the following Monday or Thursday, selecting a 30-minute appointment window between 8:00 AM and 12:00 PM.

The pick-up and return times you select are specific. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late for your scheduled pick-up, your rental will be forfeited.
