No-till Seed Drill

$80/4 day use (plus tax)
Whatcom CD provides low-cost rental of a Woods CSS48 No-Till Seed Drill with a 4' seeding width available to residents of Whatcom County.
Why use a No-till seed drill
No-till seed drills are designed to plant seeds directly into minimally disturbed soil, reducting the release of carbon that can come from discing and plowing. They also preserve soil structure, support soil biology, increase the water-holding capacity of soil, increase seed germination rates, and increase the efficiency of the farm. Whatcom CD may be able to assist larger farm operations with Sustainable Farms and Fields funding to purchase larger no-till seed drills.
