Farm Stewardship Assistance

Whatcom CD offers a variety of farm services and financial assistance in addition to our equipment rentals. From homesteaders and diversified small acreage to berry growers, seed producers, dairies and grazers, farm planning services are available to all landowners and land managers. All our services are free, confidential, and non-regulatory.

We offer a variety of farm related events throughout the year including field days, the Farm Speaker Series, and the Whatcom Farm Expo. Events are free and focused on connecting farmers to one another and to resources to help with farm viability and sustainability.

We support farmers of all opperation types and sizes in Whatcom County with the stewardship of their land. The fertile river bottom soils of Whatcom County are productive agricultural lands that provide food, fiber, and fuel, recharge aquifers, reduce the severity of stormwater and flooding, and provide habitat.
