Farm Cost-Share

We offer cost-share for every scale of agriculture. Our Small Grants Program and Rebate can help small scale farmers and hobbyists implement best management practices to limit mud. We also offer cost share specific to dairies and water use efficiency grants for large scale agriculture.

Sustainable Farms & Fields

The Sustainable Farms and Fields Grant Program is funded through the Washington State Conservation Commission to fund climate-smart practices and projects that increase carbon sequestration and reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Shellfish Program

The Washington State Conservation Commission Shellfish Program uses a targeted approach to invest in projects voluntarily installed by conservation districts and landowners that build cumulative results for shellfish recovery. Priority is given to “project clusters” within a watershed or stream reach where there’s a water quality concern. Contact a Farm Planner at Whatcom CD to see how you can qualify: FarmTeam@WhatcomCD.org

Irrigation Efficiencies Grant Program

Washington’s Irrigation Efficiencies Grants Program is a water savings program that works with Washington’s agricultural irrigators and water purveyors. The Washington State Conservation Commission works with conservation districts to provide financial incentives to irrigators and water purveyors willing to install efficient irrigation systems that save water. The program works to restore instream flows, reduce demand on aquifers, mitigate for drought vulnerability, enhance water quality, retime water availability, and increase of-farm productivity. Contact a Farm Planner at Whatcom CD to see how you can qualify: FarmTeam@WhatcomCD.org.
