Rent The Manure Spreader
(March 1 to October 15), $75/4 day use (plus tax)
WCD has a 2.5 cubic yard, ground driven solids spreader available for rent to residents in the District's service area. To be eligible to use the spreader, you must have a farm plan with the Whatcom Conservation District, or a field assessment and recommended soil test prior to the use of the spreader.
Pick up is Monday and Thursday's between 12- 4pm and drop off is approximately 7:30am to 11:30am. The use fee of $75/4 day use. If you cannot pick up from our office, WCD staff can deliver the equipment for the cost of $2/mile (not to exceed $100). *Delivery and pickup by WCD Farm Planner is included for first time users of the Manure Spreader.*
Before using the manure spreader you are required to fill out the Manure Application Risk Management (ARM) worksheet. Save the completed worksheet to show to your farm planner. Please consult with your farm planner if you receive a medium-high or high risk result after completing the ARM worksheet. The worksheet can be found online at the link below.
